Castlecary House Hotel
The small village of Castlecary, sits just off the A80 with the hotel being the only hotel/public house/restaurant in the village, therefore also being the 'Local'.
Strategically situated in the heart of Central Scotland, the Hotel is very near Scotland’s main motorway network, M8/M9/M73/M74 and is easily accessible by all means of transport.
All the major towns and cities of Central Scotland, as well as some of the country’s most beautiful scenery, and tourist attractions are within easy reach of the Hotel, providing an ideal base for leisure or business travel.
Attractions such as the outstanding Falkirk Wheel, Stirling Castle and the Forth and Clyde Canal are only a short distance away.
Castlecary House Hotel is also only 250yards from the Antonine Wall, which holds World Heritage Status, Scotland's fifth heritage site. We understand that this site was once one of nineteen forts along the length of the wall, however there is little to see now. However, it is still worth visiting, with a little imagination! Access is gained directly from the hotel car park and the gate is clearly marked with two foreboding soldiers standing guard. Visitors are welcome to park in the car park free of charge if visiting the site and the Hotel of course welcome you to pop in for refreshments after discovering this historical empire for yourselves.
